Glastonbury is not a parish, but we have a strong "Extended Community" of several hundred people who pray regularly with the monks. Participation in good liturgy is high. Guests and retreatants are welcome to join in the Divine Office.
The abbey is less than 2 miles from the ocean and Nantasket Beach.
Hingham is a beautiful coastal Massachusetts town dating from 1635; there are several attractions of interest to those studying American history.
Commuter boat service from Boston and the airport is available.
A commuter railroad line past the abbey is being restored; completion due in 2006.
